I wanted to like this a lot more than I did. The vibes are on point, but the story just isn’t there. I kept waiting for the real twist, but all the movie had to offer was a worm that gives you fight club.
It’s cool that they got this made and shown in theaters on such a small budget, but it can’t escape the feeling of “we have The Thing/Alien/Dead Space at home.”
Way better than Kuso though!
I’m can’t really articulate why, but this just didn’t land for me. Jack Quaid is as charming as ever and the gory injury gags are fun but I just kept zoning out.
I think maybe if they hadn’t been advertising this movie for what feels like 5 years and constantly showing all the best bits in the trailers it would have actually been shocking. But I knew how literally every scene was gonna end, and it got tiring.

Pretty good! Lots of great little setups and payoffs, just didn't quite stick the landing for me. Having her get fully jailbroken offscreen is kinda wild.
That one shot of him busting was simply too much.
