Barbie 2023
I'm very surprised this movie got the hype that it did. I was really looking forward to it but the pacing, plot, and themes were all really badly done. This move feels like it's in the same vein as the Lego with how it references the product but does it in a less fun way and more like "remember this". Character development isn't done well and and the conflict isn't nuanced. Casting, screenplay, and set and costume design were all amazing though.
