  I loved the stuff happening outside the courtroom, which possesses that beautiful humanist perspective that Demme so often brings to the table. Unfortunately, the courtroom scenes themselves are extremely goofy and excessively theatrical in the way that 90s legal dramas so often are. Some people can get into it, but I always feel like I'm stuck in the throes of a bad Law & Order episode.
