    Almost offensive in how inoffensive this film tried to be.

    Sam Wilson is stuck in a saviour role where he is put on a pedestal for a fucked up system but at the end of the day always seems to be a champion for 'We can work within the system', even when forced to stick a pinkie toe across the line.

    It's an issue I had with where Falcon and the Winter Soldier ended up and it's an issue here.…

    Sweet and inoffensive, this is the coming of age story you've seen before in a lot of films about a young gay teen finding his first love but without a lot of the heartache.

    Beautifully shot and wonderfully acted, Boys is a gorgeous entry-level film for anyone wanting to see some less-challenging queer cinema.

    This is one of the most intense and enthralling character pieces I have seen on film. The film has it's flaws, that's to be sure. Some have argued that the score is a let down and I personally feel that the side-characters, in particular Riz Ahmed's Rick, were a little under-drawn. The love and attention of this film is clearly and definitely focused on the character of Louis Bloom, portrayed through a phenomenal performance by Jake Gyllenhaal.
