i get the message but the only character with any depth in the entire film is his wife… i feel like this is a really negative portrayal of queerness in a lot of ways 😭

Phantom Thread 2017
This film was a random watch, as I found out about it through @filmmnostalgia on IG, but it ended up being one of my favorite films I have seen of all time, let alone this year. The actors lived in their roles so well, especially seeing as the characters were so rigid in their development, with the main character, fashion designer Reynolds Woodcock being too stubborn to change the details of his life throughout the movie.
