Leaving Las Vegas 1995
Occasionally darkly hilarious, mostly depressing, sometimes kinda hot in a sleazy, porny way, and a few times quite vile in what it subjects Elizabeth Shue to. I have never seen a film nose dive so hard. The first half of this movie is beautiful, poetic, moving - understated! The second half descends into the most ridiculous melodrama with some baffling moments and one incredibly misjudged decision. What the fuck? What a waste of 70mm
