Watched the first half drunk last night and had an absolute ball. Actually one of the funniest fucking movies I had seen in a long time.

I watched the second half violently hungover today and… my god. I wanted someone to bash my head in with a rock.

Ridley Scott’s recent filmography seems to be showing a positive upwards trend as of late. Since the stinky dogshit that was Jared Leto and House of Gucci, he catapulted himself up to the simply bad and direction-less film Napoleon.
But now, with Gladiator II, Scott has found himself back up into the upper echelon of mid and uninspired filmmaking.
