Used a free ticket, so I wouldn’t have to regret the purchase. Not good, not bad, just fine. Combat was clunky as heck. Tim Blake Nelson couldn’t save that villain’s writing. The writing of the humorous sidekick was insufferable at times. Almost all the problems with this films come down to the writing. It’s a poor man’s political thriller and not intriguing at all (which considering this studio made a good political thriller in 2014 with The Winter Soldier, is a bit damning of these writers). The only silver lining’s are Harrison Ford as President Ross and his arc and Anthony Mackie.

A perfect film. Hollywood should look at this and take notes from this whole trilogy. A good story, a great script, practical sets, great direction, and excellent performances are all that is needed to make a great film. Not pushing an agenda, not being too niche for the general audience. Nobody wants a story with protagonists we can’t relate to. Peter Jackson 3 perfect films that are timeless, and modern Hollywood is largely forgettable. Very few modern films are unforgettable…

Passable family film that’s good, but it’s forgettable. Like I watched it not even 2 hours ago and forgot about it.
