Surprised Nico didn't recommend we watch this on a plane...

It was like watching an excellent philosophy class come to life. Moving, funny, delightful characters. We literally talked about the themes and characters and laughed and cried for hours afterwards! And the tiny cast was flawless! How is this not nominated as best screenplay?

An amazing screenplay, and has there ever been a movie more perfectly cast? Rewatched after 36 years. Truly one of the great sports and love stories of all time. (Also, watch The Natural.)

Was goaded into watching this by my son, and to my surprise, I loved it. I laughed out loud, was startled, confused, and entertained as heck.
