Superhero Movie 2008
A spoof of the early 2000s superhero movies. I’ve movie does its very best to make fun of all types of superhero movies. The movie is at its best when it’s playing off of Sam Rami’s first Spiderman film. Throwing in the X-men jokes and fantastic four jokes, while fun, do make it feel a bit incoherent at times. Drake bell and Leslie Nelson are a great duo. The deleted scenes at the end of the movie are a bunch of hilarious scenes that I wish were kept in the film. It’s exactly what you’re expecting it to be so just enjoy it.

Robert Pattinson does absolutely incredible job selling the same person with differing aspects of their personality being the main character trait. The story is a bit disjointed due to the structure but it’s still a fun and entertaining film. Highly recommend seeing.

The Boogeyman 2023
A horror movie that brings a good story as much as good scares. While the jump scares are somewhat predictable due to music tension building up just before it, the atmosphere of the film is great. Any shadows in the film becomes an immediate threat as you know what’s hiding in the darkness. Playing with voices also sets up incredible moments of tension. Very well made horror movie.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 2023
Fantastic conclusion to James Gunn’s trilogy. He had many moments where the story could have used easy cliches but actually subverted my expectations. I have to applaud his ability to give this new Gamora a satisfying conclusion after main Gamora’s death in infinity war. He could have easily had her replace the old Gamora without issue but took the hard route and told a emotional story about moving on and becoming your own person. All the guardians have a satisfying conclusion. I hope we see more of them in the mcu, but nobody will do it like Gunn did.
