A Rainy Day in New York 2019
An abomination of a film, but I somehow couldn’t look away. Selena Gomez glistens. I thought it was charming but the subtle (and not so subtle) misogyny didn’t sit well with me. I must admit, Allen has a couple of funny one-liners, but other than that it seemed pretentious... and white.

Been meaning to watch this ever since it got buzz during festival season. This film definitely takes a crazy turn... like an off-roading kind of turn that is just so sharp and kind of makes you regret going off-roading in the first place but it’s great and exhilarating at the same time. Once this thought arrives, it stays.
A movie made for the serious film watcher, I’m Thinking of Ending Things is bleak but beautiful. Not a very accessible film, and may be almost too complicated inherently (read the book before film). But, when you let the film linger in your head for a couple of days, you’ll see that it’s really something special.
