It 1990
There’s a contingency of people who really feel like the new duology of It (Chapters 1 & 2) is better or somehow closer in essence to King’s novel solely because there’s more profanity and blood in them, but this tame 1990 TV version is probably just as close if not closer to that book, for better or worse. “In the land of the skunks the man with half a nose is king!”
This movie looks and sounds like all the other PG-13 comedies from the 90’s that feature SNL alums but it has a dark, grimy core that elevates it to legendary status. Definitely not kosher by 2021 standards but it’s a warm blanket to my cold dead soul.
Also, RIP Norm, you were one of the funniest.

Twin Peaks: The Return 2017
Now, with almost 8 years of time, my first full revisit of the original series in almost 15 years, and David Lynch’s passing I’m able to return to this and am glad to say I enjoyed myself after fucking hating it in 2017.
It’s still unwieldy and meandering and frustrating if you want any kind of resolution to the myriad side plots that could’ve/should’ve been painlessly excised (What the fuck is up with Shelly and Balthazar Getty? What happens to her…Translated from by -
