It’s hard to believe that Lawrence Kasdan could make such a monumentally weak overly long anemic attempt at an epic western after making such an absolute gem with “Silverado” nine years earlier. To add insult to injury this film was released six months after the far superior “Tombstone” covered the same territory (literally)

Hellfighters 1968
The drama, exposition and the dialogue are occasionally clunky and stiff, but I found it to be engaging overall. I did watch it on an awkwardly pan and scanned VHS but the transfer was surprisingly good - it must have been an amazing print that was used. I’ll have to revisit it on DVD or Blu-ray at some point.

WNUF Halloween Special 2013
This is absolute genius - The old video production values make it look like it could have been A found tape recorded directly off an old UHF station from the 80s. Definitely going to be a new Halloween tradition along with the Paul Lynde Halloween special
