Despicable Me 4 2024
The movie was nostalgic and light hearted but having seen the movies since the 2010s, using current lingo just felt unnatural and I have laughed through every other movie in the franchise, so while it was funny I think new characters were barely explored as well as such little screen times for OG ones. It was cute but I would watch the other movies over this one.

Second watch. Always takes me back to so many deep and personal memories when I was that age. The cinematography was stunning and I loved how the weather reflected the current mood of the characters. Dad monologue at end was such a tearjerker. Such a beautiful beautiful movie.

Beautiful Boy 2018
This movie is such a real depiction of the disease that addiction is and how it consumes not only yourself but your loved ones around you. Every actor pulled at my heart and their pain was palpable through the screen. The soundtrack took me on a journey leaving me guessing where the scene would lead to as well as adding some new songs to my playlist. Must see.
