Speak No Evil 2024
Really well done American-Hollywood-ized version of Christian Tafdrup’s original story with plenty of suspense, great acting, and some interesting new changes to the characters that gave them backstory and motivations that weren’t present in the original. Some significant changes to the ending that, while not as shocking and bleakly horrific as before, wrapped up the story in a different direction while staying true to its original message: that when we are so driven by the need to be polite and to avoid awkwardness, not speaking up in the presence of so many red flags can be harmful and potentially dangerous.

This movie was wild. I really liked it. It shifted gears around the third act like Longlegs did which was a shock and I wondered how they’d wrap it up but it ended up being really perfect. What a hilarious and incredibly fun dark horror comedy.Translated from by
