  when i was like 7 my neighbour had a tv in her room and always wanted to watch Ella Enchanted (2004) but i always preferred Enchanted (2007). idk what my obsession was but on rewatch i totally understand, a completely formative film. sooo uncompromisingly positive and sweet and romantic. everything about amy adam's performance and giselle's character is so fun and compelling.

  In nearly every one of his films, there's such a palpable sense of fun, or at least some type of intense passion. This film is all of that and so much more. I love how exciting and enticing the film looks, especially in the first half, it's just exploding with life.   finally a trans woman film that addressess gestures broadly

  genuinely so funny, so quotable and unique while also being very real and aware of the themes it explores. i think im very much the target audience, a shocking amount of the dolls i know have had something similar happen lmao. aimee is actually great in this tbh, and i really relate to bella. despite all the controversy my only complaint is that i wish it was longer, so promising.
