Max finding Atom in the junk yard immediately reminded me on Genesis 3:21, when the lord shows mercy to Adam. In the case of Real Steel, Max (Jesus) finds Atom (Adam) and leads him towards to the Lords forgiveness. Hugh Jackman as Charlie beautifully embodies Gods warm guiding light, as he trains Atom. Truly a masterpiece.
