After being subjected to Bowie's crotch in Labyrinth, this was a very sobering performance. Jokes aside this film is a work of art and a sincere exploration of the effect of war on the spirit of man. No flashy explosions, no heroes, no villains, just men amongst the cruel reality of conflict and apathtic circumstances.
