You can say I'm quite the sucker for a vampire film, and I'm happy to say this is another gem for the genre.
I enjoy a remake that honors the original, but also adds a fresh intriguing take on it. Eggers' cinematophy was stunning and the dialogue riveting. Everything you could hope for in a gothic horror and biblical comparisons too, wrestling the devil as Jacob wrestled the angel. Romance and death.
