  thoroughly surprised at how great this was. though it probably shouldnt have been so surprising after seeing that its on the criterion channel. what i love so much about it is the world that's been built. i truly believe that these two protagonists have such a relationship and live in such a reality. that's helped largely by the unbelievable performances from both of them its genuinely amazing. this could have easily been some b-tier, run-of-the-mill horror movie about a monster…

  still undecided on the "turn your brain off" genre of film. on the one hand this is perfectly entertaining when its not analyzed in any way, but on the other it doesnt hold up very well to scrutiny. in the end i prefer not to think too much on it so ill say its fine.
