I know everyone is shitting on this movie cause it’s an unoriginal trope (and I do agree that the cult trope is so overdone atm) and Ayo’s character is strangely written, but I do think it is an interesting commentary on culture; tons of celebrities that are wildly idolized and celebrated for their artistic achievements are exempt from the repercussions of their heinous actions. To what extent do their crimes/controversial statements nullify their artistic successes? Idk. I interesting to think about though.
