Feeling conflicted about this film - I was quite enthralled for the first half, trying to work out what on earth was going on, and why!
The film has a great sense of place, some fantastic actors and it did make me smile a few times, but it got weirder as the film went on, and very violent - I didn’t like the animal violence. In the end I found myself losing the plot with it.

I can appreciate why this film is not for everyone but I thought it was fantastic.
It’s a slow one but beautifully shot and acted by Julianne Moore (Ingrid) and Tilda Swinton (Martha). They are old friends who haven’t seen each other for a while, but when Ingrid hears that Martha’s cancer has returned she goes to see her in hospital.
