All vibes babes

When I first watched Martyrs years ago, I didn’t get it at all... It felt like cruelty for cruelty’s sake, and the ending felt out of place. In fact it was so out of place for me the first watch it’s the only thing I even remembered about the film. Now, on my second watch and having been through much more physical pain in my body/life, I feel like I finally understand it. It isn’t just a gross out film.…
The Idiots is about a group pretending to be disabled in public to “find their inner idiot.” Sounds awful...and it kinda is but underneath the cringe is a brutal takedown of respectability and how society reacts to anyone who doesn’t perform “normal” right.

A man swims through denial in tiny shorts. I get the point. I just don’t care. 🤷🏻♀️
Should’ve ended with a dead family.
Saw III is my favorite. It’s not the most polished. The pacing is… well, not great. Some of the editing is a hot mess. It’s chaotic and raw in a way that feels way more honest than any of the others.
Amanda’s arc in this is everythinggg. She’s not just Jigsaws apprentice. She is the heart of the movie. She’s not testing people to teach them lessons, she’s begging for someone to prove her wrong. She wants to believe that…
A choo choo choo chicka choo choo choo, am right?
As someone who is somewhat familiar with the crimes surrounding Mayhem, this was a BRUTAL watch. Some of the most realistic depictions of violence and self harm I’ve seen in media. I can’t get it out of my head.
