  Break neck pacing hampers the emotional weight of certain scenes but when the scope of your story is the entire Arthurian mythos you can’t really do much else.
  Beautiful costume design and set designs are done justice with even better lighting, and cinematography. Solid character writing for the most part, interesting take on Arthur’s character in that he’s much more noble concerning his actions regarding Morgan and Lancelot.
  All and all a psychedelic, stunningly good looking, somewhat campy, fantasy epic. (It was cool learning the score came from this once it kicked in and the sunset shots at the end are unreal)

  The first time I watched this I saw like three shots I thought “this is so good it’s gonna stick with me for a minute” and I think I came out of this viewing with a handful more. For the first hour Harry Powell is a terrifyingly oppressive antagonist. Hell yeah.
