Fujimoto you’re a fucking genius man. Never stop doing what you do. This film is about friendship, inspiration, determination, and grief and packs so much emotion in 58 minutes without wasting a second. Shoutout to Studio Durian’s beautiful animation and Haruka Nakamura for composing a soundtrack that makes your lip quiver and eyes water. Exquisite film that simply must be nominated for SOMETHING PLEASE I DON’T CARE WHAT THE RUNTIME IS.
Adored the visual references to Goodbye Eri and Chainsaw Man. Uh… my eyes and throat are still recovering. There’s a reason I’ll consume anything with Fujimoto’s name on it. Fuck.
