Captain America: Brave New World 2025
Sometimes you need to eat some Cheetos. I actually liked this one quite a bit. Yes, I'm tired of Marvel movies, but this one had a fairly decent script and the direction was good. Plot was predictable, but it's really fun to see Harrison Ford out-act everyone in a film. He's locked in, man, and is actually great in this. Guy is still a star. Extra points for Carl Lumbly who is always great, and for Tim Blake Nelson's skin-brain.…

No one plumbs the depths of the dark American soul quite like Schrader. I both want a whiskey and also never want to drink again after this one. Amazing final sequence. That kind of filmmaking always stuns me: the stuff where you have to get it in one take because there's no second.
