Another user said this would have killed with the "15 in 2016" audience and I agree. I fit the age bill and I'm damn sure, me as a grubby edgelord at 15 would've loved the hell out of this and believed that it was damn fine art.

Mickey 17 and Mickey 18 were like the two strains of proletarian revolutionary thought. 17 was the Trotskyite and 18 was the Stalinist. 18 got shit done while 17 got the mainstream love.
Dunno if that was Bong Joon-ho's intention, but it's quite amazing that he managed to reach out and make sense to an ML like me.
This is the kind of movie that really makes you root for a time and an era that is long gone. There's so much in this movie that is a product of its time, but in a good way.
