The original lion king has so much character, amazing voices, brilliant portrayals of the characters and just a warm overall feel. You invest in the characters and it makes the film a great watch. So surely this should translate to live action? 
The voice acting for young simba is horrible. Even his speach sounds heavily auto tuned and doesn’t associate with the look of the character, disengaging you from the story. This decreases the rest of the film.

I LOVED the first film. There was so much publicity and hype built by chapter one, but this didn’t live up to it. 
In a desperate attempt to add more comedy, they forgot the tension and horror that the story contains. The jump scares, which in the first one were used effectively and sparsely, were predictable and all used too close together.
