  i did think this was a good take on the serial killer film sub-genre. the silence of the lambs and david fincher influences are apparent from just the marketing tbh. i did think that the characters were handled well, and there were good surprises and twists but you almost start to feel more disconnected from the film as a whole as everything is revealed in an almost exposition dump that again while surprising and effective, it’s very artsy fartsy film…

  fun action adventure romp on mars, with a couple of really intriguing ideas/themes. Once it ends you realize that they aren’t much more than just ideas, the movie seems more worried about making arnie the hero, but the idea of something deeper is there. however if you’re not looking for that, you get a pretty badass non-stop thrill, so many great sets and visuals the movie is actually visually just grand besides some pretty bland/bright lighting.
