This movie was completely different than I expected and has been on my watch list for a while now. The whole concept was fascinating and the only other movie that seems similar in concept is momento (although they seem to be opposite in terms of trying to forget vs trying to remember).
The way the memories shift like dreams is intriguing to watch and how they fade really pulls on the emotions and makes the desperate urgency of the two…

After some reflection, this movie was incredible. Being able to soak it all in makes me understand Villenueve’s genius.
The movies cinematography is fantastic as its gloomy unknown aspect is balanced by the clear quality of the shots. It matches the pacing and music of the movie perfectly.
The acting was great as well and I loved the simplicity of the cast. While there were many characters, only 4 were important to understand the whole movie.

I thought it was funny in certain parts and then it just switched up the humor. Too many scenes where I was confused but not out of interesting plot. Just like what am I looking at.
I normally only write for 5 star movies but I’m so baffled that I need to for this one too.
