Not my favorite Hitchcock but not even the greats can always bat a thousand. At the start of the film I enjoyed the Noir like Hitch introductions use of shadows of NYC and the big man’s introduction. However the film lost me when after getting accused wrongly of crime he didn’t commit Henry Fonda as Chris gets interrogated in some of the worst police work I’ve seen on film. C.S.I. and Law and Order has come a long way from these sleuths. That alone took me right out of the film.

The Batman 2022
As far as BATMAN adaptions go this film is the closest live action that captures the feeling of the storylines I had been reading from 1987 to about 1999. Add the elements of the Arkham Knight games series, up the detective elements of the character and you have a hit. Add some inspiration from a film like Seven, and add some feelings of current events and you have something that will be debated for awhile.
