I’m gonna start some fires here but,
I liked the play adaptation more. Lynch had more hard and brutal scenes, but the tangled reactions of the stage actors in the 1982 film did such a good job of showing the quiet awfulness of polite people thinking they’re masking their hate and disgust.

Cell phone footage and intense accounts made this unique and affecting, but also contributed to it feeling too disjointed to be a really great doc.
Still a really good watch, and there are other documentaries that sit more in the culture shock of escaping North Korea.

Truly baffling musical. Incredible detail in the animation, but why are the Dutch the way they are.
I know who I am, I know this is basically pandering to me. But godverdomme if I didn’t love every moment of this little drama.
