I think I’ve somewhat soured on this one since first watching it and being so bewitched by Mikey Madison. She’s doing a great performance and does so much for the character that really isn’t supported by the script she has to work with. I’d say it’s worth watching Anora if only to get in on the ground floor with Madison and allow yourself to be charmed by her, but for the film’s titular character I found her actual characterisation lacking.…
