Children of the Corn 1984
It was unintentionally funny and the main idea is kind of obvious and not very revolutionary (religion can be scary and often wrong) and even that doesn’t hold up because their “god” ends up being real. I do like the originality of a corn cult and seeing small town life on the screen. The story is good! The script isn’t so much.
