  I love vacation comedies that take place under one roof. 

  The introduction scene where they show off their incognito skills while going from weddings to bedrooms displays one of the greatest examples of montage editing. HEY-AY-AY-Ay (HEY-AY-AY-AY). Gd I love it.

  About Time 2013

  It doesn’t matter how clumsy or awkward they try to make him; nothing will make me believe Domhnall Gleeson doesn’t have game.

  There are so many romcoms I would like more if I found that obsessive and clingy behavior to be cute like the writers intend though. Shame. It really does feel like 2+ hours of watching Gleeson fuck up and hit rewind. At least Click had more laughs.

  The Nice Guys 2016

  One of the most unlikely duos in Gosling and Crowe. Crowe fails to keep up with the charm-bullet train that is Gosling, but their banter and conflict plays into this wonderfully. Gosling playing the bumbling fool is reminiscent of all the wonderful roles George Clooney brought us. 

  The color palette is so warm and nostalgic that it keeps inviting me back for more rewatches. 

  There are so many technical and performative choices made in this film that I love, but the actually story itself is fast paced, and full of surprises. The Holly/dad dynamic is hilarious. Every time someone said “and stuff” it cut me up.

  This is a re watch, and I loved it even more the second time. This is so weird and unapologetic. The pacing of information revealed is legendary and all the bods are wicked hot. Unique characters with unique motives. 

  I love when the mom said “It was all too wet for me darling, you must understand. That’s why I love men. They’re simpler, dryer.” I died laughing.
