    pretty good adaptation however i feel like the director misunderstood the core of the play as they missed out the inspector's final speech which i feel to be fundamental to the play, i also didn't like how they changed the inspector's name from goole to poole - a bit unnecessary, especially as one could argue that the name goole is meant to represent ghoul, so that whole analytical point is made redundant. however, as a separate film and ignoring the play, it was enjoyable, fast moving and alastair sim was pretty good at conveying the inspector.
