mixed bag but overall pretty unmoved. david’s character seemed to have more depth and evolution throughout the film while benji seemed pretty one dimensional. his grief wasn’t an excuse for his self righteousness(?)

never really felt like the characters were developed? didn’t understand elisabeth’s motivations to go back to her old job, didn’t understand why she spirals so suddenly. not every movie needs heavy dialogue but the acting alone was not enough to convey the full story. i also felt like there were some logical inconsistencies — like do they share memories or not. why is there so much shock when they switch if they’re the same person.

the body horror was fun

1 hour of the movie was just Zeiwg thinking about serving. The series of different visual effects (the weird POVs and slow motion long exposure, etc) felt performative and didn’t add anything to the movie. I hope they both dump Tashi and become friends again.
