Book Club: The Next Chapter 2023
I’ve never wanted to leave a movie theater so bad before, and I sat through Dune and Antman Quantumania so that really means something. I guess this movie was made for older women, because the only thing that made me laugh in the 1 hour and 47 minutes was the 60 year old lady behind me gasping at every (not so surprising) surprise twist. Also why is it called book club? They only talked about books for maybe 1 minute…

Dune 2021
When I think of Dune, the only thing that comes to mind is a boy walking through a desert. It’s an incredibly long movie with almost no substance. I’ve never had to nudge someone awake at a movie theater before, but I set a record of 5 times throughout this film. I think I’d rather rewrite the book word for word in invisible ink than sit through this 2.5 hour long movie again.
