As a heterosexual male I can honestly say Hugh Grant had it going on in the 90s and by “it” I mean he was rocking that daft haircut and silly, lanky, handsome man persona that he carved out.
Anyway aye, the film.
It was smashing. Third time watching it and still enjoyed it just as much and probably appreciated the connections between the characters at different points more being more aware of how their journeys pan out in the film.

Just happened to be on the telly after work tonight. Wasn’t planning on watching it all but it ended up being right up my street by the way.
Thought it was going to be a proper cheese fest but it’s actually bloody hard hitting at times. Not quite the Dirty Dancing or Footloose vibes I had in mind going into it.

One of my absolute favourites. I mean anything from Mel Brooks is guaranteed to make you laugh but there’s just something bitter sweet about this for me personally. It’s taken on a lot of sentimental value even though I wasn’t exactly particularly young when I first watched it.
