  I saw this movie when I was 12 years old, and ever since then it has enjoyed its seat on the highest throne of my heart.

  Rebel Without a Cause 1955

  A normal American life moving at 100x the normal speed.

  Time moves dreamily in this film. In that way it is just like real life.

  Its breakneck pace throws every character's empty hypocrisy immediately into relief. Characters quickly move beyond what worried them in the previous scene, both because it is ancient history and because it was never real to begin with. The characters know this in their hearts but do not acknowledge or fret about it.

  I love this film.
