  Watched this a bunch in the 90s mostly because  Double Dragon had just gone off or was about to come on. 

  This is solid Carpenter. Kurt Russell’s doing his best John Wayne with a mullet and Kim Cattrall is always a delight to see on the big screen. 

  This film is fun. Save the princess, storm the castle type beat…oddly patriotic? What was happening in 1986 that we got Top Gun, Heartbreak Ridge and the quote from this film “May the wings of liberty never lose a feather”?? Idk I wasn’t there. 

  Side note: Victor Wong might have the most interesting Wikipedia page I’ve ever read.
