Nosferatu 2024
so indebted and faithful to the 1922 version. grotesque and frightening and with much to chew on despite a few some-might-say cheap jump scares which, despite knowing they were coming, got me good. a palpable dread throughout. in the theater, nervous laughter could be heard from the audience along w some genuine laughs in a few moments of humor, but the film itself takes itself seriously. thematically and filmically much to appreciate. a central question being put straightforward into text might come across a bit hamfisted but it is forgivable. will see again.
