Don’t sleep on this movie.  Kieran Culkin is a force of nature in this movie, and Jesse Esienberg wrote the script for this deeply personal story about grief and finding you place in life.

An absolute classic. Anne Hathaway’s breakout role, her chemistry with Emily Blunt, Stanley Tucci, and Meryl Streep is fantastic.  Meryl Streep is iconic as a Larger Than Life version of Anna Wintour. Eagerly anticipating the sequel.

This was good, but based on the previews I expected more.  Nicole Kidman and Harris Dickinson had good chemistry, but there weren’t many sex scenes and those scenes weren’t anything out of the ordinary.   For a better exploration of the world of domination and submission, I recommend The Secretary with Maggie Gyllenhaal and James Spader.  This movie is slightly more mature version of 50 Shades of Gray.

Wildly original movie that absolutely skewers our ageist culture and Los Angeles superficiality. This movie is also batshit insane.  Demi Moore deserves her Golden Globe, but I could’ve done without the extreme closeups and enhanced volume on Dennis Quaid eating.  That climax was bloody brilliance reminiscent of Carrie.
