Civil War 2024
Civil War is a very pretty, very flashy, very technically impressive film that ultimately flounders in its writing and execution. Kirsten Dunst’s character of Lee is at the very least halfway sensible, riddled with doubt about her choices and clearly heavily impacted by the brutality she witnesses as a result of her occupation (although this is better demonstrated through the editing and cinematography rather than performance or writing).
Cailee Spaeny’s Jessie is in dire need of somebody to tell her…
