This is the kind of movie that Longlegs (2024) aspired to be and failed miserably. The acting surpassed all expectations, and the cinematography and symbolism were even more masterful and chilling. A meh kinda situation not gonna lie. The first section gripped me so hard and Nicholas Cage looked so scary in that white makeup. However as I’m introduced to the plot, the scary factor kind of receded and I was more disgusted by Longlegs.
The cinematography and amazing transitions kept me intrigued throughout the movie. The diegetic sound helped build a lot of the atmosphere for the movie, and I think whoever did the film lighting is an actual genius.…
SO GOOD. Cried in the end. So thought- provoking that I can’t wrap my head around what I just watched. BEAUTIFUL cinematography and AMAZING acting. I fell in love with Olivia Colman’s acting.
