The fact that this was lying hidden in someone’s animation portfolio while everyone was hunting it down for decades is hilarious on its own.

The Monkey 2025
I’m in disbelief that this was directed by the same person that made Longlegs. I wasn’t a fan of that film, but I tried to be optimistic here - well I can say that I enjoyed most of it, but at the same time this was like watching one of those fake flicks within a movie.
Tonally, this was all over the place. There wasn’t enough time to emotionally take in moments, because there was always some sorta punchline inserted…

A movie about the space race where they include the US’s problematic media propaganda, mixed in with conspiracies of a fake moon landing, Channing Tatum mogging Scarlett Johansson, and Dean Pelton… Yeah this was good.
Only things restricting me from rating it any higher was the length. It could’ve been 20mins shorter, and honestly there were 2 other times when I thought the astronauts were already launched before it actually happened. But I can see this enjoyed slightly better through streaming.…
