  I wish more films were filmed like this where it's so colourful and campy and detached from reality. I think too many films try to make u think it's real life but I don't WANT that. I want autistic girls in technicolour.

  I loved looking at this film but why do they pretend its a massive plot twist at the end when it's SO obvious ? Also until the very end I was convinced the plot twist was going to be either that everyone is a vampire, or that everyone is a lizard

  I went into this film thinking I wouldn't like it because I don't like period dramas, I find them unnecessarily depressing. but about 10 minutes in I remembered that this is a book I spent my entire childhood reading with butterflies in my stomach and i immediately felt like a little girl again. no film has never captured what it's like to feel your childhood slip away and to feel grief for everything you could've been. might not be everyone's…
