Excellent popcorn viewing. J Phoenix plays a whiny cryass soooo well. Fun battles and arena sequences, and in general nice to look at. What’s really missing tho is an unnecessary sequel a quarter century later

The Lawnmower Man 1992
Okay yes the acting and dialogue are pretty wack by most measures, except maybe the guy playing Job (aka helicopter pilot from Lost). BUT the story is cool if in need of a few rewrites, and there are some great scenes especially toward the end. When I was growing up my neighbor had a cd-rom computer game of this movie that I played with no context for the film. Idk why they had that, I don’t think they saw the movie either

Finally got to this after seeing the remake back then, which terrified me at the time. This one is well made but had less of an impact, not as creepy as I had hoped. Also, that well should have been abandoned before the ‘incident’, if you can empty it so quickly with buckets the transmissivity is too low.
