  “why spoil his dreams. they’re such wonderful dreams.”  a beautiful and funny movie. i think my dream guy may be a man who’s spent his entire life in a bunker with his parents from the 50s.

  this movie is my perfect definition of a feel good film. it’s so relaxed and easy to watch with a smile.

  it really captures the beauty in youth, in rebellion as a teen. rebellion; a word often associated with cynicism and violence is shown in a different light, this movie shows that rebellion to most of us is actually experiencing the fun of the world.  raw and naive.

  people are so quick to say “fuck tom” or “fuck summer” but i think the beauty of this movie is that both of the characters are somewhat morally grey because we as people are not black and white, especially emotionally. this movie is not a story about love, it’s a story about life. it perfectly delves into a chunk of life that is usually dismissed in romcoms, the romances that are equally as impactful as they help you move forward and i think that itself is what makes this a beautiful romance.
