The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie

Fun, zany, premise that doesn’t take itself seriously whatsoever and just wants to mimic hijinks scenarios from all Looney Tunes cartoons. Animation looks great and always feels engaging even during standard scenes. Farmer Jim was hands down the best visual gag character to come from this.

    Captain America: Brave New World

Action sequences had less shaking cameras or jump cuts than traditional MCU films which really allowed for time to let the stunts takeover during them. I thought the Leader was a bit more interesting than the actual main Red Hulk and I wish the film could’ve focused on the espionage elements more as opposed to the standard action film climax. Anthony Mackie, Carl Lumbly, and Giancarlo Esposito we’re the main stars for me and nothing they did felt half-assed in their performances.

Mise-en-scene is in full effect. Cinematography truly is beautiful and it feels more like it’s done in one-shot than 1917. Lots of great character moments and the film does a good job in making you feel like the characters have a life out of just this story.

Great use of framing in many shots. Film has a great sense of horror by making every other character seem uncanny in one way or another. Contains a lot of dark humor that works surprisingly almost too well with the much deeper messages about Beau and his hardships with intimacy as well as his views on the world.
